These terms cover your use of loghomepeople.com and the services on it, including accounts, show alerts, the suggest, contact and live show forms, and email sent to info@loghomepeople.com. "Log Home People", "we" and "us" mean the people who run the site and the show. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
The site and the show
Log Home People is a show and website about building and living in log homes. The site links to our live streams, replays, product picks and tools like the log stacking planner. We may change, pause or stop any part of the site or show at any time.
Accounts and alerts
You can make an account with your email address to get show alerts. Keep access to your email account secure, since the sign-in links we send work for anyone who opens them. Use an email address that's yours. Join links in alerts are meant for you; please don't share them publicly. You can change your alerts or unsubscribe at any time, and we may disable an account that's misused.
What you send us
When you send us a product suggestion, message, photo, video, file or email, you confirm that it's yours to share, or that you have permission from whoever owns it, and that anyone recognizable in it is fine with it being shared.
You keep ownership of what you send. You give Log Home People a free, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to use, show, copy, edit and share it in connection with the show and site, including showing it on live streams and in replays posted to YouTube, and crediting you by the name you give unless you ask us not to. You can ask us to stop using something you sent; we'll stop using it going forward, but we can't remove it from replays or posts already published.
We don't have to use, show or reply to anything you send, and we may remove anything at any time.
Acceptable use
Please don't use the site or the show to:
- send anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else's rights,
- send spam, malware or anything meant to harm the site or other people,
- impersonate someone or misrepresent who you are,
- get around our bot checks, scrape the site in bulk, or try to access accounts or areas that aren't yours, or
- disrupt live shows, including sharing join links publicly.
We may remove people from live shows, block submissions, and disable accounts that break these rules.
Information, not professional advice
Everything on the show and the site, including product picks and the log stacking planner, is general information shared for fun and learning. It isn't professional engineering, construction, legal or financial advice. Building codes, materials and sites differ, so check your plans with qualified professionals and your local building authority before you build. You're responsible for how you use what you learn here.
Product links and purchases
Product links on the site are affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Products are sold by Amazon and other sellers, not by us, and your purchase is between you and them. We don't guarantee any product, its price or availability.
Other services
The show and site use services run by other companies, including YouTube, Zoom, Buy Me a Coffee and Amazon. Your use of those services is covered by their own terms and privacy policies, and we aren't responsible for them.
The site uses YouTube API Services to show our videos and publish our replays. By watching our videos or using those features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies.
Our content
The site's text, design, logo, show recordings and tools belong to Log Home People or the people who licensed them to us. You may share links to the site and replays, but please don't copy or republish our content as your own.
Disclaimers
The site and show are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the site will always be available, error-free or secure, or that alerts will always arrive.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Log Home People isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, property or profits, arising from your use of the site, the show, or anything you build, buy or do based on them. If we're found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
Indemnity
If something you send us, or your misuse of the site, leads to a claim against Log Home People, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
